AI Automation Engineer
Wire AI into the systems businesses already run on. Connect models, APIs, webhooks and internal tools into automations that remove hours of manual work a week, reliably.
What you will do.
Real production work on live systems, not research.
- 01
Map a manual business process, then design and build the automation that replaces it: integrations, queues, retries and human-in-the-loop approval steps
- 02
Connect LLMs to email, documents, spreadsheets, CRMs, accounting and booking systems through their APIs
- 03
Build the unglamorous parts that make automation trustworthy: idempotency, dead-letter handling, alerting and audit logs
- 04
Instrument everything so the client can see what ran, what it did and what it saved
- 05
Hand over each automation with plain-language documentation the client team can actually operate
What you will bring.
If you have most of this and can show it, apply.
- A track record of shipped integrations and automations in production, in any modern language
- Real API experience: REST, webhooks, OAuth, rate limits, pagination and all the ways third parties break
- Practical LLM experience for classification, extraction and routing inside workflows
- A reliability mindset: you assume the third party will go down and design for it
- Patience for messy real-world data and the people who own it
Nice to have
- Experience replacing no-code automation stacks with proper code when they hit their limits
- Background in operations, finance or another business function you then automated
- Comfort talking directly with small business owners
